The story of the death and ‘disappearance’ of thousands of Mayan Indians during the Guatemalan 35-year civil war. Since the 1996 peace agreement, Guatemalans, had been trying to rebuild their lives, seek justice, compensation and prevent such atrocities happening again.
Masks and Central American fiesta style carnival sequences begin the play and humorous mime depicts the serious incidents. The play goes on to artfully demonstrate the reality and horrors of the time and how people can return from exile.
